Help me find an infrared usb port!

Need to find a serail or usb infrared that willwork with phone and pda. I have one that connects to my serial for a remote to my computer tv reorder but it isnt red by my palm. CAN somene help. Just the infrared bulm and a cover going into my serial port. Used with Pinnacle pctv card. How do I make it work?

a usb to irda port....I have no idea which one is any good...search for "usb irda" and a lot of stuff comes up
