I'm trying to think of a word I read recently...

It is the word for when new technology mimics old technology...so for example e-books that look like a book physically and use graphics to show the page turning etc. This is an example of: _____. I think it was exsomething. Ex would make some sense as a prefix as it means out of/from.

It is a very specific term that means using a new technology in the way of an old one. So for example the ebook, lcd screens and vid cards are used to portray a screen that looks like a book even with pages turning. Instead of using the new tech for its advantages it is trying to mimic the features of old tech.
