Help me find a TV for the new bedroom!

Just built a new addition on that house and need a new TV for the new master bedroom. LCD is pretty much a must in the new setup. We used to just use a crappy old 19" CRT TV as it only sat away from the bed a few feet, but in the new setup it will be ~16+ on the opposite end of the room.... so LCD is likely.

Price is important. As I mentioned its a new addition, which of course has tapped our bank account to the max.

I would REALLY like a built in QAM tuner so I can get the local HD channels over the basic cable run into that room....

Any suggestions?

What size are you looking for?

So you are saying it will be mounted 16' away from the bed if I read your post correctly (and guessing the UOM)?

Really, but figure out what size you are looking for and what your budget is before people can give you an estimate.

You can get 32" LCD's for close to $500 or you can spend 2-3k for a 50" 1080p set.

Yeah I realize I omitted that info.
I guess 32" would be the right size. It wont be wall mounted actually, but sitting on top of a dresser (only waist height).
I'm far from overly concerned on actual HD res (1080p is NOT needed) Hell 720p would be more than enough.
QAM for sure, and good SDTV display are my 2 main concerns

16 feet? i suggest at least a 37 inch LCD. 42 would be better.

Its for my bedroom. Just simple TV watching. I don't want it to be a focal point on any level. In fact I wish it could be even smaller than 32" but the WS ratio makes everything so small in 4:3

the sceptre 42" 1080p is a steal at 1406 including costco membership...looks fabulous and has built in QAM...not to mention costco 100% garuntee 🙂
