help me find a super-simple old cell phone for my mom

believe it or not, my mom gets really frustrated by how "complicated" her nokia 8260 is. I know it's pretty simple, but there must be SOMETHING simpler/less features from an earlier time right?

also, a big problem with her 8260 is that she can't keep it in her pocket because it always seems to turn itself off when she does. apparently the unlock and power buttons are too easy to hit on that phone.

what are some models I should look at that are AT LEAST as easy as the 8260, and don't have any problems with going off accidentally? (I was thinking I should get her a flip phone of some sort since those never have the problem of turning off right?)

Any flip phone will be more resistant to turning off. Downside is most flip phones are more complicated. Take her to the wireless store and see what she thinks is comfertable.

I'd think the Nokia 3595 or something similar should be pretty simple...it was the first phone I had. The on/off button is actually on the top of the phone, so it's basically impossible to turn the phone off accidentally.

The tiny power button on the 8260 isn't easy to press at all, unless she's got a lot of other stuff in her pocket. Maybe the battery isn't making a good connection or something.

I don't know.

The 8260 is pretty darn simple, and most phones made today are going to be at least that complex. Older phones... Well, maybe. You'd have to find something pretty old.
