I need a replacement power supply for my Antec Overture II case. (SLP-450WR).

The problem is that the case is a desktop variant, not a tower, and the power supply sits on the bottom of the case, with the fan blowing down.

This produces two problems, the first being is that the power supply is held in by 4 screws on the outside of the fan:

The other problem is that the power cable in, and power cable out are on the same side of the power supply.

I have contacted Antec on a recommended replacement, but haven't heard anything yet.

Can someone suggest a PSU that will work in this case?

You may need to modify a PSU. What you can do is to get a new PSU and put the guts of it inside the old PSU enclosure. Warranty will be voided, of course.

Antec responded:

For fitting a standard PSU in the Overture II case, you need to get a power supply that has the fans
placed in the front or back of the power supply (e.g. the EarthWatts or NeoPower series). This is necessary
so that the air flows out to the side vent of the case. INSTALLATION: Remove the existing power supply
from the case. Once removed, install the new power supply so that the air flows out through the side vent
of the case (the power plug and switch of the power supply should be facing the left side of the case). You
can then reroute the power cable so that you can connect it to the power supply. Then use the floppy drive
cage to secure the power supply in place.

Unfortunately, I replaced the power supply and still nothing (no post, no beeps, no fans, no lights). The MB must have also gotten fried when the PSU did. Very disappointing as this machine is too old to replace a MB on (not worth it), but still had a couple years in it for the kids.

My HTPC started randomly (and frequently) turning off a few days ago... the case and PS are 4.5 years old.

I was able to fit a standard ATX power supply (PCPower & Cooling Silencer MK III 400W) in my Overture II case...

However:

1. this power supply is slightly longer, so the cables were a tight fight.
This PS uses modular cables, so I put the PS in first, and then hooked up the cables.
I used one set of SATA power cables, one PCI-E cable, and one Peripheral+Floppy cable (for the fans).

It would be difficult to get more cables connected than this to the PS, because of the bracing in the case.

2. there are no screw holes on the bottom of the PS (around the fan), so one cannot screw the PS into the case.
This isn't really a problem as replacing the floppy drive tray over the PS secures it.

3. There was no way to re-route the case's built-in power cord without serious cutting, and even then, it won't fit without switching the plug to a right-angle plug.
I don't think any ATX power supply would make this easier.

I didn't want to cut up the frame, so instead I had to remove the side grill (it pops out) and plug a power cord into the PS from the side vent.
The cable is obscured as I have a receiver next to the HTPC, so the power cable is between them.

Overall, I'm happy with the new PS.
