So folks the lease on my TSX is expiring end of April. I have the option of buying it out which will cost me around $310/month for 5yrs. I am getting into a bigger house so I want to bring down the monthly cost for the car (increased mortgage). I have the money to buy a car with cash but I would rather use that towards the house (and towards the baby we are having in September). So with that in mind I was looking at leasing a car for around $200 with nothing down. Is that possible? Has to have 4 doors and good on gas but not be a complete stripper. I have been looking at leasing an Accent GS (hatchback) or Elantra GLS. Any lease specials going on right now that I can get for around $200? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
CaesaR

there are some honda ones that are around $200/mo but require nearly at $2k upfront payment.

$200/mo with no down payment seems like a really hard deal to find. i remember a few months ago when i was thinking about a new car i was looking at possibly leasing and the cheapest I saw were the hondas.

kia also has some cheap leases in your range, but again, require about $2k down.

Depending on the amount of miles you need, you should be able to get pretty close to $200 with a civic (and maybe a few dollars more for an accord). Dealers will beat the advertised manufacturer promos.

Example:

Honda: http://www.boston.com/cars/specials/commonwealth_motors/honda.html
Toyota:

purbeast0: Thanks! Yes I have been looking at Honda and there are some good deals there. I am kicking myself for not jumping on the Jetta lease last month. I think it was like $199/mo with 0 down.

DeviousTrap: Thanks for giving me some hope. I am looking at some local ads to see what dealer around here is willing to beat the manufacturer special.

xSkyDrAx: Buyout is $17,500 (60% residual after 3 yrs) which is $18,550 after taxes. No money down and 1.9% interest gets you $324/month.

Just got a 2012 Accord LX leased for $226/month including taxes (6%) with 0 due at signing (35 payments for 36 months)! Just an FYI for anyone looking for something similar.

+1 for the Elantra here. Hyundai has done a fantastic job with this year's model from what I've read.

Any good deals for a fuel efficient, but not base, hatchback (Focus, 3 Skyactiv, Soul, etc)? All of the dealers I have contacted give a lease payment that is within $50, or so, of simp[ly purchasing.
