Tomorrow I'll be at the library for 2 hours across from my school while my friend takes a driving lesson since we carpool and theres nothing else to do. I'm looking for two types of books.

1. Any good books thats not more than 300 or 400 pages long, UNLESS its a VERY good book. I don't want any romantic books or books where the first 3 quarters of the book is exposition and everything else happens in the last quarter of the book.

2. A computer related book explaining detail of cpu, video cards, and/or hard drives. Any of those is fine, or a book with many parts covered. I want to thank ShuttleTeam for pointing one out to me, now I'm just looking for others to choose from.

TIA

Well you could get The Lord of the Rings books if you haven't already. Harry Potter books are also very good, I highly recommend them.

Ah, Lord of the Rings. I forgot about that. I think I'll add that to my list of books to choose from.

I've heard decent things about "The Da Vinci Code"....don't know how long it is tho.

I was going to suggest "A Tale of Two Cities" by Charles Dickens...but it's a bit longer (and features much thicker language) than I think you're looking for.

I definitely suggest The Neuromancer by William Gibson, the Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury, and Blade Runner by Phillip K. Dick.
