Help me explain the virtue of DC

I know a fair number of people throughout the various computing forums, and I was thinking of sending out emails describing the friendly folks here, and the fun of the competion aspect of DC. Shoot me some ideas describing the virtue of DC.

I know I'm new here, but you people have been very helpful and kind...I'm not getting mushy, I just want TA to kick butt.

One of the best ways to get them into DC is to invite them into the forum. Let them look around for a few days and decide if it's right for them. We could go on and on about the virtues of DC, but it would only wind up sounding like a sales pitch.

Another great way is to invite them to join us in mIRC. Nothing like real time Q&A. If they've got questions or concernes about what's really involved that would be the way to get them. Hook, line & sinker!

IRC aka Internet Relay Chat is a means of instant communication that was one of the original ways of communication over the internet. It's basically the same thing as ICQ, only with more people and instantaneous.

You've got an IRC server that can host several chat "rooms" in each room people "talk" about different subjects and TeAm AnandTech has it's own such irc server 🙂

mIRC is a popular IRC client (program that connects to an IRC server and lets you join the different "rooms&quot😉 for win32. You can get it here.
