Help me design my tattoo

Alright guys, in a couple weeks...I'm goin with a bunch of people to get our tattoos.
I'm gonna get the face of a lion on my arm.

Here are some rough sketches I've done...

I really liked the face on this sketch, but didn't like the cartoon look of the mane...

I was looking for more of a realistic mane, that's more fluffy (can't thing of another way to put it)

If you're going to a good studio, you should be able to bring all of those in, have a talk with the artist, and have him do up a sketch and work with it 'til you're happy.

Mane looks fish-like.

Looks too much like scribbling.


Perhaps straight smooth, textured lines??

If you aren't absolutely sure, take lots of time to figure it out. It will be with you forever.
I usually take a year or more designing mine and then I get inked.

I would say that you should get a tattoo of a predesigned design that are featured on thousands of people. Put it above your arse like all of those other girls. If you're a guy, put it there still.
