so we kind of want to rearrange the house/furniture a bit for fun, but unsure as to how. Our living room is decent size, rectangular open plan, with a corner fire place. Currently, it is kind of boring and not really cozy.

we have 1 sofa, 4 square side table(all 4 are the same size), and 2 'short and long rectenguar shelf, which are being used as a TV stand.
anybody have any idea or creative way to rearrange our house?
at first we thought it would be nice to face the sofa at the fire place, but since the fireplace is on the corner, I"m not sure if it will be wiered to angle the sofa in a corner. also, we have a big fat CRT tv, so we cannot hang it above the fireplace. I dont want to arrange the house in a way where I will have useless space also(corner here, corner there, etc etc)
we do not have any more furniture, so we would like to see what we can do with what we have.
