I'm installing an remote start/keyless entry in my car I got the wiring diagram from the manufacture

http://tiger.towson.edu/~hzaidi1/1999ToyotaCamry.pdf

1. When I see the color black/yellow or blue/black does this mean the wire is sold black with a yellow stripe or sold blue with a black stripe? Also what does white - white/red mean?

2. I see the polarity is + or - for most wires but I don't see polarity for other wires. Also what is a Polarity of A indicate??

Thank you

black/yellow would be black with a yellow stripe
blue/black would be blue with a black stripe
white -white/red means white or white with a red stripe, probably option dependent
Not all wires carry a DC type signal, hence no + or -

But the alternator in most cars are internaly regulated with a full wave bridge rectifyier converting the AC to DC so everything should be dc right?

I meant the BUS type signals that often come and go from computer and control systems.

Yeah I can't wait to install this thing. It also has a trunk pop signal wire on it. I'm going to install a trunk pop solenoid and run it to a relay then to the brain. My whole car will be keyless by the time I'm done.

I believe A means alternating. As in, it could be positive or negative depending on if the window is going up or down. The ones that aren't listed don't have a reliable state, so there's no point in putting a polarity there.
