Told my girlfriend on wednesday that I had to drive to San Diego today, friday (from Orange County, ~75min drive one way) to pick some equipment that I needed to use on Saturday and to stop by and see some friends.
Her car has been in the shop and she asked me yesterday if I could drive her to the shop so she could pick it up today(friday); I said yes under the assumption that she realized I wouldnt be here for the later half of the day. So she calls me and tells me she can pick her car up at 4:30, which I proceed to tell her I will be in San Diego and wont be able to take her, she immediatly gets pissed and says I promised her I would take her to get her car (which I didnt); I tell her to find a friend to take her, she calls back and says none of them can do it.

sooo.....

Am I obligated to wait till 4:30 take her to get her car, then wait till after rush hour traffic (~7:30) drive 75 minutes to San Diego grab what I need, tell my friends that I cant see them, then immediatly turn around and drive 75 minutes back?; Getting me back at around 11pm. (Gotta wake up at 5:30am)

Am I right in saying that I had this all planned out before, and I was only able to help if it fit into my schedule.

You're screwed if you don't take her to pick up the car, so drop her off at 4:00 (she should be willing to wait a little bit) drive directly to San Diego (probably 2 hours in rush hour) have something to eat with your friends, pick up the equipment you need and leave San Diego by 9, back home by 10:30.
 
if you want to get "any" anytime soon, I would take her to ger her car. Depends on how satisfied you are with internet pr0n.
 
yea. you didn't exactly explain it correctly, or she's just a slow girl and didn't understand the importance of you having to be out there at a particular time because she doesn't comprehend the concept of rush hour traffic on a friday, especially where you are going......

I wouldn't give in. You do what you have to and let her worry about her own problems. They are afterall, hers.

75 minutes? Dang, that is just my drive home today.

Take her as although you did tell her about today, you forgot to make it clear. You then set her up with a problem that she cannot resolve. Also, priorities... people above things and GFs rank high. You can live with 6 hrs sleep for 1 day, trust me (5am M-F and lots of times not getting to sleep until 12a.)

Right after she told you she found a friend to take her, you should have said "I was just about to cancel with my friends to take you. Are you sure this perosn can do it? Cause I will cancel."

couldn't agree more. Whats even more troubling is how everyone is saying GIVE HER money for a cab.... why should you be obligated to give her your money? just because she's your chick? because she didn't take into consideration you had plans... f that.

She didn't have a contingency plan and failed, so she dumps it on her bf to whom she can manipulate into dropping everything for her. Since she knows he will do it, she can throw a tantrum into getting her way.

This only gets worse with time. You have let her know she can get away with anything because you aren't man enough to stand your ground.

Hell, just hand over you man card, you obviously don't deserve it.
