Help Me Decide

Ok, it's June, and the time for my yearly review has come and gone. Everything went well, and they decided to increase my salary by 20%. In celebration for this new found wealth I want to purchase my car upgrade for the year. I drive a lovely Hunter Green 97' Supra TT which already has 480 HP...however, that's not enough for me. I want more. Time to go from twin turbos to a larger, single turbo. The question is, which one. I'm either going to get the Stage 3 or the Stage 4 kit from SupraStore.com. One pushes 700 HP but spools relatively fast...the other is pushing 800 HP but is the larger, and slower, T-88. The question is, which one should I go for? Or should I do nothing at all, and save the money. This is where you at AnandTech come in. Help me decide what to do, and if you're ever in the Nashville, TN area, let me know and I'll let you drive my car.

I voted for "Save Your Money". 480 HP is already pushing the limits of "Can I Drive This Car Without Wrapping Myself Around A Tree?".

Nice car though. I love Supras. 😀

I voted 'save your money' but if you really want to waste money then get a the Stage 3 kit. A faster spooling turbo is nicer, less lack and more even flow I would guess. But hey, with 480hp you really do not need any more.

😀

Talk about the most ignorant remark ever. Have you ever seen a riced-out Supra? I highly doubt it. Go bag on the "Powered By Honda" crowd and read up on Supras, chucko.

I'll be the first to say..."holy crap!" that's a lot of horsepower!!! I'm also going to want to take you up on your offer the next time I'm in Nashville. 😉

Also, got any pics of your car?

Here are some old pics. I should update them, but I'm too lazy. Warning, they're very large file sizes.
Now, ask yourself, does this look like rice? 😉
