What im going to do:
Mainly gaming and web surfing. I will be overclocking this system. If I were to get the 1st setup, id get a 2nd stick of 512 ram at a later date, probibly a month or so from now.

hi,
i would say that the video card is the limiting factor in either system for gaming. so if it's mostly gaming and surfing, i'd get the cheaper one and save for a better video card. if you are looking for upgradability, on the other hand, i'd go for top system with either 800mhz fsb mb.
good luck

Im not going to upgrade the video card until the next generation come out in ~ a year. I figure the card will get me through until then running atleast 800x600, if not higher. True Doom 3 and whatnot are coming out, but I really don't have $400 to spend on a 3d card no matter how good it is.
