I'm a newbie. I am building a computer and I have the 2800 AMD64 chip. I do not have the money to buy a good graphics card right now. I want to buy a motherboard with decent onboard graphics.

Which of these two motherboards would you buy? Any info you can give about the boards in terms of brand reliability, chipsets quality (I don't know much about this) and the onboard video provided is GREATLY appreciated.

1. $83.00 ASUS K8V-X VIA K8T800 CHIPSET SERIAL ATA150 ATX FORM FACTOR 1xAGP(8X)/5xPCI/3xDDR W/SATA RAID,LAN(Gb),USB 2.0 & AUDIO Graphics: Integrated Mirage2 graphics in SiS760GX chipset supports DirectX8.1 upto 128MB shared video memory

2. $66.00 MSI K8MM-ILSR VIA K8M800 CHIPSET SERIAL ATA150 MICRO ATX FORM FACTOR 1xAGP(8X)/3xPCI/2xDDR W/INTEGRATED VGA,SATA RAID,LAN,USB 2.0,1394 & AUDIO, On-board Graphic shared up to 64MB (I have no idea what the graphics brand is)

3. $87.00 DFI K8M800-MLVF VIA K8M800 CHIPSET SERIAL ATA150 MICRO ATX FORM FACTOR 1xAGP(8X)/3xPCI/2xDDR W/INTEGRATED VGA,SATA RAID,LAN,USB 2.0,1394 & AUDIO, Integrated UniChrome2 3D/2D graphics controller, Integrated S3 Graphics with 2D/3D acceleration

4. $70.00 GIGABYTE GA-K8VM800M VIA K8M800 CHIPSET SERIAL ATA150 MICRO ATX FORM FACTOR 1xAGP(8X)/3xPCI/2xDDR W/INTEGRATED VGA,SATA RAID,LAN,USB 2.0,1394 & AUDIO, S3 Graphics UniChromeTM Pro IGP

One last question. Does the Micro ATX and ATX form factor have the same power connection? I have a new PowMax case which is 400w and I have the motherboard from my old pavillion 7915 in it. I think it is ATX and not MicroATX. The store I bought it from described it as a "Standard" size case which is better for upgrades. It has Four drive bays on top, six hard drive slots below, and seven PCI places to punch out. If I do have an ATX can I put a Micro ATX motherboard in it?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AS I DON"T HAVE A GOOD UNDERSTANDING OF CHIPSETS AND I'VE BEEN BANGING MY HEAD AGAINST THE WASLL FOR A WEEK NOW.

decent and onboard graphics dont mix, jus get a super cheap agp card and a mobo w/ agp slot you won't regret it later when you have the money for a good agp card

Righton!

None of the above mainboards.
Get yourself a basic nice nF3-250Gb mainboard at about $70 or below from EPoX or Chaintech. Scavenge some AGP card from somewhere until you can afford a state of the art videocard. Shouldn't be too hard. Don't you have friends with Matrox 400, GF2, GF MX, R7000, R8500 cards lying around in useless heaps?
