ok, need to decide which card to get, the options are:
Adaptec 2400A (with either 64MB or 128MB) (about $400)
3Ware 7410 (about $380)
3Ware 6410e (about $160)
I'll be attaching 2 IBM 60GB 60GXP's in Raid 0. Now, the 6410 is udma66 while the other two are udma 100. The 6410 however seems to hold up to the others since it only allows one drive per channel.
At any rate, what most important to me is VERY low cpu usage and very high random transfer rates.
And I'm not touching another Promise POS, so please dont suggest it.
Also, the system will ONLY be running linux
