Help me decide which fans to get

Hello, new to the forums, so I'll jump right into it.

Case: NZXT H2

Current fans:
Stock 120 mm NZXT fans x2 at front
Stock 120 mm NZXT fans at back
Stock fans with Noctua NH-D14

I have one empty slot for a 120 (140) mm fan and one for a 140 mm fan.
I am also considering to add a third fan to my NH-D14 as well as changing the cooler (reference) for my XFX 6970.

Questions:

1) Which 140 mm fan should I get? I've been looking at Noctua's NF-P14, any other suggestions?
2) Apparently the NF-P14 fits in the bottom 120 mm slot, so I guess I'll use the same fan there as the answer for 1) (unless a 120 mm does a better cooling job?).
3) According to others with the H2, they've gotten better temps and sound levels when they've traded their front stock fans to other fans. Question here: what's better, Noctua's NF-P12 or Scythe's Gentle Typhoon? I know the GTs are good with heatsinks, but what about sucking air into a case?
4) Like I said, I have the stock fans with the NH-D14, do you think I will have any benefit from changing the NF-P12 there to, say, a GT?
5) I read a thread about adding a third fan to a NH-D14, http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/showthread.php?t=357131, do you think it's worth it?
6) What do you guys think about changing my reference cooler on my 6970 to an Accelero XTREME Plus II? Can you recommend a better cooler?

I know it's hard to say that one fan is better than another, but considering I'll add five of the fans to a fan controller, I'll go for the one with superior cooling.

Thanks in advance!

how much do you want to spend on fans?

Gt's work great only if u have something in front of them like a sink.... if there open air, its kinda of a waste...

do these holes have restrictions? meaning do you have fins in front or hard drives in front of the fan?

Personally i would just probably grab a lot of cheap yates low speeds and use those as open air, as they are near silent... and if i needed to cool something with static, i would use the GT's.

Money isn't an issue in this case.

The bottom slot has big holes and a fan filter, the top slot has similar holes. The front slots have limited air flow from the outside due to the door to the case, on the inside there's a HD and SSD, so it's pretty much wide open there.

So based on what you've said:
Front: NF-P12s
Top/bottom: NF-P14s
NH-D14: a GT to push, a NF-P14 in the middle, and a NF-P12 to pull?

Correct?

for open air fans anything that pushes or moves air is fine...

so i would honestly get whatever u think looks the nicests and doesnt generate a lot of noise.

Im personally using the Enermax Fans with the open frame that allows the fan to pull from the side though the frame as well as the front.

simular to this:

Its not a great fan for heat sinks but its great for open air, because it pulls the air from the frame as well, and they are very quiet. Also the fan blades pop out for easily cleaning.

In my case u can see how i mix'd the fans.

The top fans are San Aces... literally the bugatti of fans.. but they are 38mm they push a lot of static, and they are mounted in front of a radiator..

Fans are matched with application... filters arent really what i consider heavy restrictions.
A radiator which is 70mm thick... now thats another story.
