So I sold my 1992 Mustang in order to fix up some stuff on my 06, but got to thinking now I can afford that KB blower I have always wanted.... Which would you do?

My current Mods are Ti CAI and SCT Tune, Mac Axlebacks (Could sell the Ti CAI/SCT Tuner if I went the second route BTW)

I am leaning towards doing the visual stuff, but I have always wanted a KB and this is probally my best chance to drop the cash on one, what would you do if you where in my shoes.... BTW please don't make any sugestions to sustitute things in my list, I like the items I have chosen unless you know of a place that has some 18" Saleen or Cobra Chrome Wheels I can put on my car that will fit a 275/40 tire fine.

If I go the visual Mod Route It will be a few months but I will get some more bolt on performance parts (Underdrives. Long Tubes/Off-Road H-Pipe, Carbon Fiber Driveshaft, Electric WaterPump, Custom Tune, Pretty Much all the bolt ons hopefully getting me close to 350 RWHP. If I go the KB route It will be the last/only performance mod other than the axlebacks.

Also understand that the Stock motor can only take ~450RWHP before you can potentially damage the internals/blow the motor. So I would be pushing it there.

Edit: Didn't see you planned on doing other stuff down the road....if you don't plan on visiting the local drag strip, 350hp should be just fine. :p

I'd go with the visual mods.

Visual mods won't mess with your warranty on an '06 like the blower would.

Yea I don't plan on drag racing it, I just want some pep in its step :p.

And bR I would get a real hood pin kit for the car If I could find on......... But the aprearance kit is all I have found ATM for my car.

Its easy for people to say go for the blower, yea all the hp is nice. Really the only things holding me back are I am worried about the stock motor being able to handle the extra HP for long term since it uses powered rods/etc, I don't want to build/buy a motor/shortblock either.

And my warranty, I have an extended warranty, I should be fine with the bolt ones should I have a problem but putting the blower on it I pretty much piss my drivetrain warranty away because all they have to do is say the drivetrain wasent mean to handle that kind of power should sometime go wrong....

you can buy any hood pins for a car...you just have to drill the holes yourself.

Please god just go with the performance. And don't skimp.

Ok you people who are saying performance, do you know anything about the new 3V motor, and what kind of cars do you drive. What is your background with performance applications in cars?

I am holding off the KB mainly because I want my motor to live..... BUt im basing most of my info off what I have read that has happened to people online... And its hard to get the full story out of them.

I TOTALLY LOVE those $56 KNOBS, those $150 FAKE scoops, the $63 FAKE hoodpins, the $22 outlet plug, the $70 pedal kit nobody will see, the $16 lock pins that you won't use because of keyless entry, the $100 center caps that will get stolen, and the thousands of dollars worth of other parts that cost as much as my 65 mustang. Even though it will never look like a real mustang, I say GO FOR THE BLING!!!!11

How the fsck is that stuff rice? That is visual modifications that I want to do to make the car appeal to me more, I dont think they make it faster...... Never said that. Its not like a huge ass wing on the back.

And cjgallen stfu, if its something someone wants to put on their car to make it look better what is the problem with it? CNC Machined parts are not cheap anyway.

Well I guess its not really rice... some of that is tasteful, but if I was gonna spend almost 5 grand on my car (subaru impreza 2.5rs) I would swap an STI engine into it.

I guess it depends on what you want out of it. ****** I got flamed like crazy on here because I bought JDM OEM clear lights for my car.

Ehh visual mods are not bad as long as they are not big wings nad ugly pointed body kits.

As I said before I would be all over the KB but the stock rods/pistons in the new 3V are only good to ~450RWHP Aprox. and I dont want to blow my new motor. I think you people saying go power don't understand this.

I plan on adding all the basic bolt ones should I go the performance route to get me up to about ~350rwhp till good heads/cams come out.

If I was sure I could go the KB route without hurting my motor I would be all over it. Nothign like forced induction.

Do what you want to do and don't look for validation from others.
