Help Me Decide on a Car

So my lease runs out in May on the spyder and I have to decide on what the hell to get. I keep going back and forth on leasing another new car (relatively nice one), buying a new car (on the cheaper side), or buying a used car (cheaper still)

My latest thought is to buy a Preowned Jeep Wrangler ~ 10-12k and just play with it for a year or two then trade it in or sell it for whatever I want.

Some preliminary thoughts:

- Buy a 1999-2002 Wrangler (pre-owned) (in the $8-12k range)
- Lease a 2005 Wrangler ($24-28k range)
- Buy a 1999-2002 BMW 325 (would be around the $24-28k range)
- Lease a 2005 BMW 325i ($30-36k range)
- Buy a 2005 Scion tC ($20-22k range)
- Lease a 2005 Honda Accord ($26-28k range)

Also, possibly looking at the Mazda 6? Nissan Maxima?

I would recommend against leasing 2005 3 series. BMW is coming out with new 3 series later this year, which will be redisigned. Your new 3 series won't look so new anymore.

if your actually seriously considering a jeep, you may want to think about the alternatives to a frontal lobotomy. the only reason people would want to get a jeep is to go offroad, yet 9/10 offroaders think jeep is the worst way to go. get an old truck, if you want to save gas avoid a V8 and go with a smaller 6, and spend all the money you'd save by not buying one of these fibreglass cars and spend it souping up a truck.

but if you have to decide, I'd say pay attention to argo, and wait for the newer BMW's.

Not the Scion TC, one of the few things I like about my car is that they are still relatively rare. It would be generic to see a lot on the road and the price on mine was $15,950.

I was gonna bring that up as well. I'd say get a cheap used one, pay it off, then get the new 3 series down the road (2 years).

I actually started a similar thread a while ago. I already know which car I'll try to get (created a poll just for fun), but that's exactly the reason 3 series is probably the last on my list. Aside from that, you can get pretty good deals on them right now. I spoke to a dealer 2 weeks ago he made it sound like I'll be able to pick one up for below the invoice price.

I guess you do not offroad, then.

Easily 7 out of 10 vehicles on a trail will be a Jeep, unless you are in some anti-Jeep club. Go down to an offroad park and make a tally of who goes in.
