My CRT finally fried so it's time for something new. I have a 7800GTX that this will be run off of and eventually whichever I choose will have a spouse (dual lcd's). My question is which one to get. I've read reviews on all 3 of these monitors and I can't decide to save my life. I will be using the monitor for gaming (mmorpg's,bf2), CAD (both 3D and 2D), school work, and general computer use for my wife (surfing womansday.com).

What is Anand's experience with these monitors. I like the idea of the wide screen but I know my mmo's run in the 2005fpw's native resolution. I like the fast response time on the VP191b and L90D+ but I know response time is not everything and every company measures it differantly.

LCD's are beyond my area of expertise since I have never used/owned one before. Any help/comments/real life stories/etc. is very appreciated. Thanks.

jealously hugs his 2005FPW...

People are serious when they say once you try WS gaming you can't go back. Consider yourself warned!

QFT, the best purchase I have made in the last 3 years is my 2005FPW.

Edit: You could even go for the 2405, but that's too rich for my blood, aristocrats only! :p

Out of those I'd go with the VP191b or the L90D+. I'd lean more towards the L90D+. The L90 has healthy following amongst AT'ers (do a search) and has rave reviews by hardware sites (Tom's had tons gof good stuff to say).

The only reason I woudn't go with a 2005FPW is because I really dislike the short height (17"). Now the 2405, that's a different story, that will be the next monitor for me. I'm just waiting until more games adopt WS.

I wouldn't consider ANY 19" LCD of a a 20" Widescreen, especially the 2005 FPW..

Multiple USB ports, Rotation, Composite Video..

HANDS DOWN, Get the Dell.

How is the 12ms RP for the 2005FPW and does it letter box games or apps that don't utilize widescreen? The price isn't bad.

2005fpw. Widecreen gaming is awesome and the 2005fpw is a beautiful monitor.

Does anybody have a picture of their 2005FPW with Half-Life 2 on the screen? I've read it's wide screen ready.

Yes it is letterboxed with the exception of a few games that can be hacked.
