Help me decide: Canon A300 or A70?

AnyMal

Lifer
DELL just emailed me a nice 20% off S&P coupon and there is an automatic 10% on all digital cameras already. I can get A70 for about $220.00 plus tax (sux I know), or A300 for appx $140.00 plus tax. It appears both cameras are using the same CCD with the most noticeable difference is the lack of optical zoom on A300. Both cameras got great reviews on Cnet and Epinions.

I am having hard time choosing here. Anyone wants to weigh in and help me out?

Family pictures mostly. I have a canon printer that is capable of printing photos, so that would be a nice feature to use. I am a noob when it comes to digital photography, something that is easy to use while producing great image quality is what I am after.

How about the a60? It's only 1mp less and a 320x240 movie mode as opposed to the 640x320 movie mode for the a70. But it's almost 100 bucks less. That's what i'd be looking at and you get the 3x optical zoom. However, don't know if they offer it at dell.com though. Haven't checked.
