Help me decide: 4gb crucial ballistix pc2-8500 (1066) or 8gb patriot PC2-6400 (800)

im about to upgrade to vista x64, and I multitaks alot, I have a e600, but will get a q6600 once the prices drop again in july.

I was thinking since I dont really that much of an overclock (since neither chip can go to high my 6600 runs at 3.2 daily 350 FSb currently) the 6400 ram should be okay


let me know what you guys think is the best route

Do you do any artwork or rendering? If so I can see 8Gb but if you dont 4Gb will probably be plenty.

The best route is the correct route since you don't overclock.
