Help me connect my Apple Airport Express to my computer's ethernet port

Can I connect my Apple Airport Express to my Asus A7N8X v2 Deluxe's ethernet port (to stream iTunes using the analog mini output).

I connected my AE to the Nvidia ethernet port and keep getting the limited or no connectivity error message.

(I am a complete networking newbie, so I probably just haven't configured something correctly)
 
You may need a crossover cable to plug it directly into a system. Did you check the manual?

I'd try the Networking forum... they're good at this sort of thing. 😛
