I got a new HP dv6000t with a Core 2 Duo T5200 and it uses a 533 FSB. Using CPU-Z and the same company's PCWizard 2007, I see the RAM running at DDR2-533 or PC2-4300, but in the SPD for the RAM it says PC2-5300 (333MHz, or 667 double data rated if you will), and lists CAS settings for 200,266,and 333. So, is this really DDR2-667 just running at DDR2-533 speed? It somewhat makes sense because all other dv6000t Core 2 Duo run on 667 FSB so they might use the same RAM for all models, right?

What is the speed of that processor? I really miss the days of yore when they would just tell you the speed, then maybe a letter after it indicating its family.

It is more than likely that yes, it is DDR2-667, which is what most (I thought all) of the Core 2 Duo Mobile chips use. So to save on some costs, they probably did that.
