Help me come up with a video solution - outdoor TV

I have DISH at home with three receivers. Too cheap to pay for another receiver for just outdoor use.

In our current home we have a covered porch area between the pool and the house. There was a 25 inch CRT (which I can't even give away) mounted about 5 feet above a counter space.

There is an outlet and a cable outlet there.

Due to stucco and extremely limited access to this area, I can't exactly drop an HDMI cable through the wall, and running an exterior cable is probably not an option.

The closest receiver is about 25 feet away directly. I am totally ok with splitting the signal coming out of an existing receiver, but how can I get the signal to go through that cable connection? The dish receivers all have HDMI outs that go to the respective TVs. I haven't tried to see if a receiver will output video from the HDMI and cable out and the same time.

Would a wireless solution work? I haven't yet bought the TV to replace it, maybe I should consider one with wireless? My plan is to watch HD video - sports mostly - so wireless probably would not work.

HD is only ouptut on the HDMI connections not the coax. If it were me I would just use SD for the outdoor tv and use the coax cable connection. Only other way is to pull a new cable and use HDMI. Wireless HD is very picky about obstacles and the cost is high.

are you up to moving the receiver out when you need it? Just run a RG-6 extension when you need it.

If it is anything like directTV it will (as posted above).

I currently have a box in my living room providing a source to the following displays -
living room tv (through component)
basement tv next to my projector screen (for watching multiple games at once through HDMI)
outdoor projector (through composite)
.... the remote is RF so I can control it from anywhere and since there are outputs for 3 types of signals I took advantage of them all.

For your situation the following may work -
*If the box is anything like directTV* you will have the following outputs:
HDMI - RBG (component) - Composite - Optical and RCA for audio

For your SD tv outside run the Composite/RCA out of the Dish box to a RF converter... this will get it to a RG6 signal.... run this signal to your cable junction box that feeds the ourdoor cable hookup you have there.... from there simple connect the RG6 at the outdoor hookup to the TV and you should have the signal.

Dish Box --> RF Converter --> Cable Junction box --> Outdoor rg6 jack --> Tv

*Chance this may only allow you to view channels 1-125 or something, then you may need to do another conversion back to Composite/RCA and run the TV on AV1 input... not sure if the two conversions would cause loss in quality but its SD anyway, so would you notice?
