I'm moving into my new apartment next week. the bedrooms are kind of on the small side, once you fill them up with queen-sized beds and other necessary bedroom furniture. as a result, both my roommate and I are going to be keeping our computers in a common area (we're converting the large dining room into a computer room / library type area. we work identical hours, so there won't be many occasions when one of us has the apartment all to themselves (exceptions being when I go out with my friends and the 1 weekend a month that he makes the 6-hour drive to visit his girlfriend in Western PA).
so the problem this creates is that all of my computer porn is inaccessible. I'm trying to think of a solution to this masturbatory dilema. My current thinking is to get a SFF-PC (or see what I can put together from spare parts), hook it into our network so I have access to the files on my main rig, and use the television that will be in my bedroom as a monitor.
anyone have any other ideas, though? I heard that your basic television makes a crappy monitor, so I was also thinking about possibly buying a laptop instead, but there's the $$$ factor in buying a laptop.
if there was a way to do it without buying a 2nd computer, I think that'd be ideal 😉
