Help me come up with a solution to be able to connect to the WD Wireless Pro drive & be on the internet hotspot from my phone somehow with tablet

On my Wifi iPad. (8th generation base model)

Is it possible to do somehow ?

I tried the software app for the WD Wireless Pro drive but it only works when on a Wifi network. I never see my hotspot name from my iPhone.

I would prefer not have to carry another device to make it work but if it is small enough hardware device maybe.



To be honest I would prefer not not even have to take the drive with me.

Yes I could use Plex or Emby but I want to be able to use nPlayer Plus or Infuse Pro. Which is forced to play all files in original quality.

The way you've worded your question makes it unfathomable to understand, however phone Hotspot do not create a "network" generally that would allow you to share like this. You'd have to figure out some way to create a network and tie your Hotspot to it in order to do what you want.

Plex let's you set it to play original quality.
