Replacing the stock Northbridge ABIT HS/F on my IC7 Motherboard with a passive Zalman NB32J Northbridge Heatsink. The only thing is that there are a few fingerprints on the Heatsink underside, and slightly on the fins. I would like to remove this residue but do so in a way that wont scratch the underside or leave any more residue that may interfere with the Arctic Silver 3 grease.

I was thinking of using some Rubbing Alcohol that is 91% pure. Is this good enough? If not recommend something better.

Thanks

Would a (relatively) soft paper towel qualify as a Lint Free Cloth?

Or is this too rough for wiping on a Heatsink?

Use nail polish remover and a lint free towel. I use an old bath towel that I didn't care about for all my heatsinks.

DON'T use a paper towel, it will shred.
