I will mostly be web browsing., But I would also like to play World of Warcraft too.

I would like to have a a long battery life, the longer the better.

My budget is $1000
 
I think you picked the best laptop. It is adequately specced to get through all your works. There are other cheaper options like Dell Inspiron 7559 and even Asus Zenbook but battery life of Dell is not as good as Asus K501UW and Zenbook doesn't come with dedicated graphics so probably you made the right choice.
 
The laptop choice is pretty good. Before you do please ask yourself the following questions
1) Is the RAM and SDD replaceable?
2) Is the battery replaceable?

Also consider how long are you willing to keep this laptop before buying a replacement.
