Ok..I am buying a multipurpose monitor. Since I don't have much room in my...room..I want to combine a TV with computer monitor. So I have narrowed it down to 2 choices. I am going to stick with one of these two and get it from Best Buy because I have a credit card there and can pay it off gradually.

Anywhoo...I am going to use this monitor for 50% of its life for computer use and the other 50% for movies from a standalone DVD player and TV.

I tried to compare them...but they are on different sections of the building so I couldn't eye ball both at the same time. The picture looks the same from what I can tell...but that isn't cut in stone. They had a crappy BB demo running on all the screens. From a quick glance it looks like the Gateway, number 2, looks like it is a little more sturdily built and slightly better picture. Again I couldnt tell picture-wise since they were more than a quick glance apart.

Don't forget to tell me why you think one is better than the other..

I'd go with the gateway if I had the cash.

But for my budget its the $80 bargain bin monitors for me!

I have the Gateway and love it, make sure you have a decent video card to push it if you're going to game. It has the same resolution as the dell 2005fpw with slightly bigger pixels.
