Hi,

I'm about to buy a new laptop, it will replace my desktop.

I will not use it as a gaming machine. But I will use it for imaging and video editing. I'm running Photoshop 7 and Premiere mainly. But it would be nice to be able to run some games.

I have looked on the 2 following machines:

Dell Inspiron 8600
Mobile Intel® Pentium® M processor - 1.5 GHz
512Mb Ram
60Gb HD
128MB DDR NVIDIA® GeForceFX? Go5650
15,4'' TFT WSXGA+

Or

Compaq X1000
Mobile Intel® Pentium® M - 1,4 GHz
512Mb Ram
60Gb HD
ATI® Mobility Radeon? 9200 - 64 MB
15,4-tums WXGA

How is the performance for theese two? Is the Radeon better
than the Go5650 even if it´s "only" 64Mb?

Or is there any other big difference for me? Or maybe another computer in the same price range?

 
The D800 is an 8600 with better build quality and lower GPU (not that the FX5650 is worth a sh!t anyway) and you can order it without all the bullsh!t software. 😉
