saw some microsoft wireless keboard and mouse on newegg, are they any good? Logitech? Which one better?
Also, what is the best 5.1 channel soundcard for the money? around $50-80?

I agree with the logitech recommendation. I have the mx700 duo that you can find here for $66 shipped
I don't know what the lx700 is like, but I know I really like my mx700.

As for the soundcard, I think the options imverygifted mentioned are right on. For gaming, the Audigy2 is a really good card.

I have the AV710 and it's more suited to music I'd say. It's ideal for stereo listening or if you want to hook up to a receiver or something, but it doesn't have all the nice features the audigy cards have.

Yeah, I looked there first too... didn't find it so went on pricewatch and got the first place with a good reseller rating.

yes, I will watch TV and DVDs, also, a lot of music. So is this the card, or overkill for what I need it for?

That's a really nice card. I would probably call that overkill unless you're looking for pretty much the best soundcard you can get. Something a little cheaper and close to that performance is an audigy 2
