I just started searching for a LCD monitor. I've found 3 different Viewsonics at a little over $200.

VA902B- no DVI, higher brightness 270, contrast ratio: 550:1
VA912B- DVI, lower brightness 250, contrast ratio: 500:1
Other specs are mostly the same, with DVI, I lose on brightness and contrast ratio. So is the DVI worth the lower brightness and contrast ratio? How much better image quality does DVI bring you?

VA1912wb
This one seems to have the best spec, DVI/VGA, brighness 280, contrast ratio: 700:1, but it is wider with a odd resolution (1440x900), it also uses much more power.

If I had not purchased VA902B at COMPUSA last weekend I probably would order VA912wb from amazon. If COMPUSA allows me to return, I would do that. They probably will charge me restocking fee.

For comparison chart: http://www.viewsonic.com/pdf/us_eng/products/compchart_lcd.pdf

I really don't know if DVI worth the hassle. And I wonder if these specs difference (contrast, brightness) that visible?

Please help,

THANKS!

Any of these are better than all of those IMO. All have DVI and all are a great value. ViewSonic is a brand name but that's about it. Their monitors really aren't better than anyone else's. I saw washed out colors on all of them vs. the Samsungs I've used.
