rig:
AMD BArton 2500+, 512 MB ram, winxp pro SP2 (dx 9.0c installed)
1 free PCI slot. Current video card in AGP
want to move to dual monitor setup. We use the PC for productivity apps: spreadsheets, word proc, email, internet. Some tv watching and photo editing.
do we need a card that has Dx9 or can we "real-world" buy a Dx7 card? the monitor res is 1280x1024.
64 or 128 MB. obviously, I know the $95 card is better, but is the $37 one sufficient?
Are there better cards (or deals with rebates) at other places, assuming that the $100 card is the way to go?
what's a decent card at a great price?
