Help me choose between two speaker packages!

hm.. Do you have prices? If they were closely the same price, I would probebly get the hercules one since it has more watts. IMO, the hercules also looks better.

I noticed that the Inspire 2400 has this volume slider thingie, which would be convenient. It's also shielded against possible interfering with a monitor.

I still don't know...

I'd go with the Creative speakers personally...I'm a big fan of Creative in general (Have an audigy platinum) though admittedly I've decided never to try getting tech support from them again. (I can provide far better answers in far less time anyhow) Tech isn't an issue for speakers tho, and I think all of these inspire systems work well...plus black is cool!😛

First off, welcome to AT littlegreencube 🙂

As for your question, I'd go w/ the Creative speakers. I've been running a set of FPS 2000's forever w/out any issues. Oh, and that volume slider is very handy to have IMO, I hope this helps 🙂

I don't have anything against Creative speakers, but the Inspire 2.1s are simply awful... probably comes with the price range though...

Beyond that, I don't know what to tell you. It's silly to try to judge speakers when you can't hear them both or at least see the guts of the systems.

Actually, I take that back. There's a review on Dan's Data here that makes me comfortable in recommending the Hercules setup. What they've apparently got over the Creatives:

-A decently-designed subwoofer
-Thick-ish wood construction with a bit of lagging material in the critical places
-A well-secured back panel
-Two-way satellites to avoid the nasty highs
-An effective sub crossover that doesnt creep into the midrange

It looks as if they adress most of my gripes about the Inspires...
