I shopped these 2 decks not too long ago.

Go for the CDA-7941, the rotary volume knob makes all the difference in the world. I would never give mine up.

One thing to keep in mind is that there is no internal amplification for either unit, which I assume you know, as you are buying a unit with a 4V pre-out.
