Help me choose between these graphics cards:

Radeon 9200 128 MB DDRRAM @ 4 ns

Radeon 9200 256 MB DDRRAM @ 5 ns

Radeon 9000 Pro 128 MB DDRRAM @ 3.6 ns

GeForce 5200 FX 128 MB DDRRAM @ 4 ns

Which card would you choose and why?

Thanks in advance.

R9200 = R9000 normal with 8X AGP (the same performance + 1-2%)
The lower amount of ram means more speed: 5ns = 200MHz - 400DDR
256MB is needless here. 4ns = 250MHz - 500DDR

R9000pro: probably faster than a R9200, 3.6ns = 277MHz - 555DDR (probably the fastest), roughly GF3 Ti500 level.

FX5200: the only card with DX9 support, which is worthless on this card.
4ns = see above. Roughly GF3 Ti200 level. Good, but I'd buy the R9000pro which is better. These cards won't run any DX9 games, anyway.

wth, 256mb on a 9200! thats even crazier than 256mb on a 5600!

btw, get the 9000 pro with the 3.6ns. but get a 8500/9100 if you can. 9200=9000<8500le=9100

I agree. If you are looking for a future proof card, I would reccomend aiming for something in the midrange, like 9600 pro or fx 5600 ultra.

To be honest, I'm not crazy about any of the choices. Maybe if you told us what your budget was, we can recommend an alternative?

If those are the ones your choosing from and those only, get the cheaper of the bunch. If not go for a Ti 4200 or for DX9 ATI 9500 or 9600(PRO of either if ya want to spend a little more)

I'd pick up an Radeon 9600 np, they can be had for around 120 bucks. If not, the Radeon 9000 is a good card. The 5200 is a joke don't waste the money on it.

If you are looking for really cheap then check the HotDeals forum. Compugeeks has the refurb 8500 for 44.00 minus 10% if you use the code. So for 39.60$ you could go real cheap.

Otherwise I would search for a cheap 4200.

I don't like any of the choices but...
I'd go with the 9000pro 128. The agp 8x of the 9200 will give you hardly any gain....and no gain for that matter if your board doesn't even have an agp 8x slot.
