Which of the following would you choose and why?
OR ...
Would you suggest something else?

Creative Muvo FM TX MP3 Player
iRiver T10 1GB MP3 Player
Mobiblue 1GB MP3 Player
Sandisk e130 MP3 Player

Thanks

All i can say is i've tried them all, and iriver always wins hands down. All my c-labs seem to only last a few months before dieing or messing up. And irivers deliver the best sound, have resume from power off, and seem to handle any bit rate you toss at it.

I had the iriver for years, then dropped it and it broke. I then tried c-labs, rca, etc etc and was never happy. Not until I went back to iriver. I got the T10 on sale for $99.
I cant believe all the time i spend fighting with all the others till I woke up and just went back to the iriver brand. As they say - a no brainer...

I read online somewhere that there's a problem with iRiver's firmware and that they no longer make this model. So, it's unlikely they'll update the firmware to do what they advertise it to do. Unless I'm confusing this model with another but I don't think so.

Is the Muvo really crap? They're awfully tempting at $70 for 1GB, FM, Voice Recording and built in USB connector.

I've only seen refurbished T10's for around $74-$80. New models are $129.

My brother's Muvo crapped out and refuses to firmware update to fix the problem. My Zen Xtra rocks (it's old, but trustworthy, survived falls and everything), but, I sadly can't recommend the Muvo line... Have you looked at the Zen Nanos and Micros? They're in that price range, but I've not used one, and I think they have similar features depending on model, but don't quote me there...

Those Mobiblues are obscenely small and I've heard a lot of good reviews, but never used one myself, either. My friend got one of those iRivers and she loves it, though, so, I figure they're probably not half bad, since she can be pretty picky.

I have the 1gb Sandisk. So far it's been a great little player. I've had no complaints. Office Depot runs deals on them from time to time for pretty cheap. :)

TejTrescent,
I thought the Muvo was better than the Zen Nano as it has a built in USB connector.
The Nano is a little more money without that feature.
So, the Nano is better quality/sturdier?
Does the readout display full ID3v2 tags?
I just read a review on CC's site that Creative corrected a couple of bugs in the Nano to make it even better.
I haven't looked at the Zen Xtra. I'll have to check it out.

jcwagers,
I've been trying to get the Sandisk e130 from OD for over 6-months.
They don't carry it anymore but still advertise it on sale with rebates.
I really liked the ability to use SD cards.
Most reviews are satisfactory except for the file system which seems to be a complaint of many makes/models in the marketplace.
Is yours the new "m" line that doesn't take SD cards?

Is there a reason why
the Sandisk Sansa m240 1GB MP3 Player costs more than
the Creative Zen Nano Plus 1GB Portable Audio Player?

Yes, mine is the new model that doesn't have the SD slot. I admit that it would've been nice to have the extra space but I have plenty of space for my needs. You can fit close to 200 songs on mine when they're encoded at 192 bitrate. While I would like to have a larger one, I don't need one. I don't even keep the one that I have full. I can't say anything about the other MP3 players because the Sandisk is the only one I've owned. I've been satisfied though and would recommend it. :)

The Zen Nano 1GB and the Sandisk 1GB MP3 Player are currently both $70 at Circuit City online for two days. Which would you choose and why?

Do these use older/slower memory?

Mobiblu!!! the 1GB is currently on sale at Wal-mart for <$100. Plus, the squareness and smallness = bragging rights.

Zen Xtra is actually very very cheap now for the size. I once saw a deal where you could get a 40GB Xtra for less than $150. however, it is HUGEEE.

I don't know what all the hate for the MuVo TX FM is about. I love mine. I've used it for over a year and have no complaints. The sound is good, you can plug into any USB port and transfer files without drivers or using battery power, the FM is adequate (mostly used in gym), it's got a good belt clip / arm band, and I've never had a problem with it. I would estimate ove 300 hours of use with it. Definitely get different headphones than they send with it because they are very uncomfortable.
