Hey all,

I'm back from my (crappy-ass) Thanksgiving holiday, and Heather and I have been thinking about getting me an electric shaver. I HATE shaving, so I don't do it every day. I want to just be able to run something over my face real quick in the mornings when I take a shower and go. So, with bang for buck in mind, what should I be looking for? Foil or rotating heads? It has to be wet'dry and cordless. What else is there? General specs or specific models welcome. CHEAP is good, as long as it will get the job done nicely.

THe norelco ones with the 3 circular blades are nice but i prefer the flat ones made by Braun ive had both find braun ones gets harder to reach spots and you dont have to do that st00pid circular motion like with norelco :D

http://www.braun.com/

You can shave ur ass easier with the flat one too :D

Mach3.

OH ELECTRIC! We like ingrown hairs;) When I'm in a Rush, I use Norelco. It's the model that came out before the goo ejected Norelco's. Very nice, and gives you a good cut.

If you are going to use electric spend a little extra and it will make all the difference in the world. I have been using a Remington for over a year and I love it.

I used to have the Braun but when the battery died I got the Panasonic 13,000 RPM from Sharper Image.

That razor rocks!

You can't beat 13,000 RPM in the shower.

Whatever you get, make sure it comes with a "satisfaction guarantee or money back"!!!

I tried 'em all. Nothing works for me. I end up with a rash from any electric (dry) shaver. (red from the shaver, not embarrassment) Only a wet twin-blade shave. :(

EDIT: I haven't tried the electric shavers that work in the shower - why bother?

Do you honestly think you can shave quicker with an electric? The way I see it, you have to wash your face sometime anyway. When you do, just shave the soap off and rinse. Takes all of what, an extra 90 seconds? And I've yet to see an electric shave as well as a blade.

I've used the BIC blades with the yellow handles forever. One will last me a couple weeks if my wife doesn't get a hold of it. That's 2 weeks for about twenty cents, with better and quicker results than an electic.

And yes, I've tried electric. My in-laws got me a Remington about 20 years ago. It's still in a box somewhere...

I have a Braun and I use it fairly regularly. It was the top-of-the-line model a few years ago. I bought it when a store in my area was going out of business. I use a blade most days, but every so often I need a quick shave and grab the electric. I actually am going to start doing what my buddy at work does and keep the electric in my truck. That way if I run out of the house and forget to shave, I can take care of it in a pinch.

Strait razors are the only way to go. Has anyone seen the pictures of what an electric razor does to your skin. Ouch.

Edit: Grow the beard!! Girls like it when it gets past the scrachy stage.

Amen azazyel I've had a beard for the most part for 17 years. My daughters love it and won't let me shave it. Plus a disposable razor will last about 2 months.

I just keep it trimmed short (1/2 - 1")and it's no hassle at all.

I wish I was old enough to have a full beard. I am only 24 and I look like I am 19 so it looks linda funny when I have a full beard. I did spend 2 months on a fishing boat in Alaska where I let my beard grow. It was wonderfull!! I kept it for a couple months afterword but my friends talked me into shaving most of it off. Still have a goat though.
