Hi there:
This is in regards to the Dell 2000FP, which is a GREAT monitor albeit some issues that concern anal-rententive people such as myself.

Read on...
Both my friend and I bought one each at the beginning of May. After going through 6 panels between the two of us, we're still disatisfied. All the panels we've tried have had varying color purity or horrible pixel problems. For example, on one panel I received, the entire lower half of the screen was significantly "pinker" and brighter than the upper half, which seemed much "greener" (when you have greys) than the bottom, due to the difference in color purity.
When the monitor has a bad pixel problem, it's got it bad.

One flat panel I received had over 50 bad pixels, all in a two inch column on the left hand side of the screen. My friend's monitor has bad pixels as well, but his only show up when he has a certain background in that region. Mine currently has a defective bright-blue pixel when I have a navy blue screen showing. It only lights up then. There are two other bad pixels, but they're faint and only show up on a black background so I pay no attention to them.
I intend on exchanging this panel a few months later to try to get a better batch. If you have one, when was/were yours manufactured? All of our 6 panels were manufactured in March 2002 with the exception of one, which was made in February 2002.
