(Only looking to buy a Saab here, sorry)

My range for a car is about $17,000. I was looking at purchasing a certified Saab 9-3 which all have around 45k in miles and are usually 2003 models. However, I saw a few 9-2X's around 10-20k miles for around the same price. I heard they were rebadged Subaru's, which I don't mind that much. They are all 2005s.

Is the 9-2X a good buy? Can I hear some feedback on this car? Thank you so much.

Test drove a '07 9-3 Aero & Mazdaspeed6 yesterday. Damn that V6 turbo!

The 9-3 has more interior room and is more refined. 9-2X has AWD and more power but essentially is a Saaburu.

I'd take the 9-3 Vector!

I'd go for the 9-3, but I used to own a 2006 9-2x. Great car in terms of speed and handling. Gas mileage was something else.

Subarus are more reliable than SAABs, but the SAAB will be smoother and more refined/comfortable. One thing that Subarus certainly aren't, is refined.....

I'd vote for the 9-2X SAABaru, but I am biased.

I'd vote for the 9-2X Aero. Turbo charged, AWD and Subaru reliability. If gas mileage is an issue you can go with the 9-2X Linear version which is non-turbo charged and uses regular gas. I am biased as well since I own a Subaru and came very close to buying the 9-2X a year and a half ago.

Why not a 9-5? For 17k you can get a slightly used aero which'll be more rpowerful and refined than a 9-3.

What are the odds that the 9-2x is cheaper to insure than an actual WRX?

It was the same or a little bit less as I remember.

9-2X, no question.

We all know how good WRXs are in their class (they have been eclipsed now, but that requires a new car), especially related to other wagons.

On the other hand, whens the last time someone chose a equal prices 9-3 over a 328i or G35.....all 7 of them are invited to chime in here :)
