I've been giving a lot of thought lately into what mobo I should get with a 3200+ At first I thought the MSI K8N Neo2 was the way to go but judging from the amount of people that have had problems I'm not so sure about it anymore. The other two mobo's I'm thinking about are Asus A8V Deluxe and the Gigabyte GA-K8NS Ultra-939. Which one would you guys recommend? The gigabyte one is the cheapest of all 3, so I'm kinda leaning in that direction right now.

you could still try the MSI k8n neo2, just get it from monarchcomputer in one of their combos. You can get HL2 and far cry for free plus they pretest it, load it with the latest bios, and have a free 90 day warrantee, longer if you pay more.

Try the MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum or the Epox EP-9NDA3+/EP-9NDA3J. If you don't mind a VIA chipset, try the A8V.

Well as said before, since the MSI K8N Neo2 is regarded as the fastest board, more people are going to buy it. Therefore, the more boards that are bought, the more people are going to have problems. For example, if the A8V was regarded as the fastest board, more people would buy it right? Well if more people buy it, you are going to see alot of Help! threads because more people have it.

Their website looks like crap, but they're ranked up there with newegg, just check resellerratings.com. I'm ordering my combo tomorrow. my only problem with them is that they have a fairly limited selection of mobos and HSF's. however, they're prices are very competitive. I'm pretty sure I can do this, but I'm going to order a Zalman CNPS700a seperately and not have a heatsink with the combo. they zalman is supposedly too heavy to ship attached to the motherboard.

I would NOT reccommend the A8v. Asus tech support sucks, and many users have failed to get this to post, even with the bios beyond 1007. Nothing sucks more than spending 400$ and no video to show for it.

I'd say look for the Chaintech VNF4 Ultra. Its 129 when in stock at newegg and offers the updated nf4 chipset with PCI-E for a cheaper vid card solution and longer shelf life.

I'm in that boat.
I just sent mine back today, hopefully the replacement will get here soon and work.

The A8V does take a bit to get working, ill admit that, but once in working state, its great! Very fast and feature packed

Very true, their tech support is the worst I have ever come across. I would have expected more from Asus considering how popular their make is
