I'm looking at these 2...

Netgear WGR614
Linksys WRT54G

I've got a core duo laptop which I'd like to use it in my room, and have the router placed in another room downstairs...which of these are stable and covers a better range ? my room is upstairs prob about 20-30 feet away from the router...or should i get one with range booster ? or wait for the N routers to come out ? wat do you guys think huh ?

Normally I'd choose either Linksys or DLink, but you never know until you try w/ these SOHO routers.

Personally I have both a WGR614 v6 and a WRT54G v2. I tried a WGR614 v6 as a router a year ago but it hanged under heavy p2p traffic so it was substituted with a WRT54G v2 with third party firmware and has been rock stable ever since. Since you cannot get the WRT54G Linux fimware versions anymore (the ones that can load third party firmware) I would recommend a Buffalo WHR-G54S with latest DD-WRT firmare.
