Help me choose a new cell phone company

My cell contract will be up soon and I am looking in going with a different company.

My choices are ATT Wireless, Verizon or US Cellular (current provider)

I chose these 3 becuase they provide the best coverage in my area

I am leaning toward ATT mainly becuase it seems to have the coolest new phones and best features for a cell plan

Anyone here hanve a good/bad experience with ATT or Verizon?

Listen! STAY THE F*CK AWAY WITH ATTWorSt!
you won't want to wait on hold for 30mins - 2 hours until you get to a cust rep. :|
sorry that tmo is not working for you in your area.
I would recommend verizon (only if you can live with a sh*tty phone) 😀

What about Sprint PCS, T-Mobile, or Nextel?

When I look at T-mobile and Sprint at a local level their plans do not cover the area I need, but on a national level it would do fine

Hmmmm

Why would I want to go with Sprint (freaking killer phones) or T-Mobile?

Sprint blows. T-Mobile is awesome, good phones, lots of minutes, great customer service. Verizon isn't bad either, but the plans are weak. AT&T is not good. Stay away!

you can roam on any other gsm network for free with tmobile. they do NOT charge you roaming fee within the states. you may get burned with att, if you go with them, they charge you $.69/min for roaming. also, their prorate sucks. a lot of people get burned because they didn't know their first month is prorated.

Verizon works best in my area and overall is best according to Consumer Reports latest issue.

You may want to check with CR as they rate each of the companies by area in the January issue.

if you got Verizon in the area, go for it.

Pick yourself up an LG phone and enjoy always being able to make a phone call 🙂

Yeah. I loved the phone and deal I got from them, but customer support was a joke. And as soon as you get one, they put you on hold again while they "take care of things". Before you know it four hours of your life are gone in order two answer two small, seemingly simple questions.

Joyride, what area do you live in?

Check the profile:

City: West Des Moines

Province/State: Iowa

I have Verizon currently through my job. We just switched off of Nextel, and Verizon seems to have more coverage in the areas of the city I regularly travel, more so in buildings versus Nextel.

I have Verizon and I also get a corp discount on my personal plans. If you work for a large to medium company check and see if you can get a discount. You can get it added to existing accounts, as a matter of fact, you open the acct first and then call your Verizon corp rep and he/she gets the discounts applied. Only works with companies that already have Verizon accts, as it is a Benny they offer to the company.

I just recently switched from Sprint to T-Mobile and I couldn't be happier. Great coverage, great service and cool phones.
