Help me choose a monitor

Its time to buy a new monitor. Id like to spend no more than $600 and I really dislike the aperture grill lines. Yes I know, OCD. Id been looking at the viewsonic g220f, but after more research realized no one at all recommended it, so I gather something is screwy with it. Any suggestions for something else fitting the above?
