Help me choose a MoBo/Video card

My hobby is photography and I am looking to build (my first) Photoshop machine around an AMDx2 3800+ but am kind of undecided about the MoBo, video card and case. I do not do any gaming and other than Photoshop and similar software I use the computer for the regular tasks (word processing, accounting, surfing, etc).

I will appreciate your help on configuring such PC.

get an asus motherboard, they are best quality 😀

video card since you do not game, a 6600 should suit well non-gt

Start by selecting the CPU and features you want. That will narrow your search.

since he wants X2 3800 id go for an nforce4 board, even via's are nice like what i have but mine is AGP, and you should get one support pci-e

I suggest a nf4 6100/6150 based board, or even an rs482 based one. He doesnt game he said..
