we use these d810's where i work
nice notebooks, not too many problems
battery lasts about 3 hours with normal usage

do yourself a favor tho and skip the 5400RPM HD for a for a 7200RPM one
the difference is quite noticeable
and double the ram to 1GB

the D610's are too small for serious work use, unless you're using it for presentations at client sites

these machines are just too power hungry to offer extended battery life.

you could swap out the cdrom unit for a 2nd battery if really necessary, that should get you 6-7hours

what about millenium computer? or spelling like that. My mom got 1 for work and its a dell and dell warrenty, just cheaper.
