My girlfriend and I have our 2 year anniversary coming up, and as a gift, I want to do the Star Registry thing. However, I don't know what constellation would be the best choice. I live in the Western Washington area (~30 miles North of Seattle). I don't even know where to begin research on what constellations are most easily visible from our area... I'm googling stuff right now, but haven't found anything useful. Any help would be appreciated!

You do know this is a complete scam, don't you? The "star registry" is just a book they publish, used by no one and with no standing in the scientific community.

Design and print your own certificate in Word, it's exactly as official. In fact you might as well name a galaxy after her instead of just one puny star.

You can also give her a deed to a plot of land on Mars or Earth's moon, and mineral rights to an asteroid or two.

Those registry things are a scam. You would be better off picking a star and saying "That one is ours." And making your own certificate.
