so aside from all of them

any suggestions on a bank with a semi-national presense?

 
I have had only positive experiences with Wachovia.

M and T has been a nightmare to deal with on several occasions.
 
Compass (not national though) - free atms anywhere, free checks for life, no fees, no direct deposit requirement

since ive moved i use wachovia and have had very positive experiences
 
A bank for what? Checking, Savings, Money Market, CDs?

What are you willing to keep as a minimum deposit?

Can you direct deposit? How many times a month?
