Hello,

As the title of this thread says, i need some help deciding which card should i choose.

1st option: Sapphire 7870 XT LE

or

2nd option: Gigabyte R9 270 Windforce 2x

I can get both cards at the same price from my "sources". :)

I lean towards the 7870XT but i want some second opinions.

What would you choose if you were in my place?

Thanks

at the same price go with sapphire hd 7870 xt. it has 20% extra stream processors. clock for clock HD 7870 Tahiti LE is 10 - 12% faster than HD 7870. also the sapphire dual x cooler is good enough to keep temps low and noise too. the cooler should also allow overclocking to 1200 mhz.

If i throw-in a GTX 660 at the same price, 7870 XT still wins, right?

By quite a bit, yes.

I snagged Battlefield 4 for $25 a few days ago on Origin, so the bundle isn't adding a whole lot of value right now.

a stock R9 270X running at 1050 mhz is 15 - 20% faster than GTX 660. HD 7870 Tahiti LE at stock 975 mhz is on par or slightly ahead of R9 270X

"Otherwise against the GTX 660 the 270X is a full 20% faster on average, which puts the 270X in its own class ahead of the GTX 660. The GTX 660 still holds an edge in power limited scenarios, where its natural competition will be the 270 vanilla, otherwise there’s little reason to get the GTX 660 right now so long as you can afford to part with the further $15-$20."

Sapphire HD 7870 XT (Tahiti LE) is a GTX 660 Ti competitor.
